  • i set up a small fish tank as a CAT TV for hello. i bought some fish and shrimp online, they are really tiny, barely bigger than a mosquito. however hello doesn’t seems interesting in them at all. I can’t believe a cat wouldn’t enjoy watching a group of fish swimming around. It makes me wonder if he can even see such small fish. but cats are supposed to have good eyesight.
  • let’s just wait and see

  • the fish are still swimming in the tank. I haven’t see any fish or shrimp floating on the surface, so maybe none have died
  • mosquitoes have increased—it’s really annoying. I suspect the fish tank has something to do with this. sleeping in a room with a cat pet, i lost the killing weapon-the old but the most useful killer-mosquitoes incense. ALL I CAN DO IS SUFFER🤬🤬🤬. getting woken up by mosquitoes in the middle of the night makes me want to kill both Hello and the mosquitoes

  • i thought those little lives wouldn’t last for one week, and I‘m planned to give up after they died. since Hello wasn’t interested in them, and mosquitoes-my poor words fail to express my hatred. well, three weeks later, they are still swimming …..
  • this actually beyond my expectation. I thought fish ware difficult to keep alive, and i didn’t prepare much …. my ingrained belief is break. some precious fish require special conditions to survive, but there are always, some lives weed-like, strong and stubborn. if they are fighting to survive, i’d support them.
  • i’ve changed my mind-i’m planning to get some larger fish. let’s give it a second try, and see if hello will be interested this time.

  • i was misled by those internet posts. those posts make building an eco tank seem like a walk in the park, and highlight how easy and simple it is. while the tanks in those videos are absolutely stunning-clean tank, crystal-clear water, fresh green plants and lovely fish. i thought that all are benefit from the ecosystem, i was to young too naive 😑 😑 .
  • actually… a lot of them have died, and the water in the tank smells awful. i found this while i preparing to replace the tank. my fault ☹️, i didn’t pay enough attention to the tank, and locked of knowledge. i get them a new tank, larger than the old and set up clean volcano rocks and new water plants, some snails and fish are on the delivery way. the tap water needs to sit under the sun for a while to help reduce the chemicals in it, but the recent days are running all the time. hope this doesn’t harm much
  • a key point is that i’m creating a little ecosystem not a fish tank. as i learn more about it, i become more interesting in this. maintaining biodiversity is important. everything in the tank has it’s own role, contributing to the balance of the ecosystem.

  • i found a dried fish in the kitchen. there is no way it jumped in the kitchen on its own. definitely, absolutely, no doubt, Hello lent a very helpful paw. it’s funny

  • one of the shrimps got eggs, it feels like magic to me. i’ve seen a bunch of post online, where shrimp don’t last long, many of them pass away pretty soon, maybe due to the tank conditions or others lives in the tank. but seen one with eggs makes me think my tank hits that sweet spot—it’s thriving with a healthy and balanced ecosystem.
  • it’s true, cat loves the water in a fish tank. actually, they love the water from anywhere, except in their own bowl. i love to watch hello drinks from the tank~. the tank is illuminated by a soft light from the above, under the light, the plants glowing, colorful fish drift though the fresh green, while the cat drinking from the top of the tank. it’s a tranquil atmosphere, and a healing power.
by the way, the cat drinks from the surface,it helps to reduce pesky oil layer on top.

  • my shrimp didn’t get thrive, but the spiral shell are popping up out of a sudden. i didn’t even buy them, must some parasite eggs hitching a ride on the plants. i noticed one a week ago, thought it was no big deal, just one. but now … 头疼. i don’t know the exact number but definitely above thirty. where i get this number from? because i’ve been sending them to see god 💀💀💀. they are about two millimeters, too small to be seen, perhaps i need an amplifier.
  • such insane growth ability and with no natural predators, they are about to ruin the balance, devouring my plants and eventually taking over the whole tank. 头疼

the spiral shell are still blooming but not enough number to take over the tank. i think they can be a part of the echo chain, so no need to panic.
i have bought some shrimp again, but they are not thriving like i expected. however, the plants, fish, shrimps and well, spiral shell are worked fine. and the conditions in the tank are stable. i believing it’s a little ecosystem, nature will sort itself out.
